AUDITIONS

 

Do you love to sing? Have you ever imagined singing with Chicago Chorale? If this is you, we invite you to audition to join the choir during our annual open audition period.

Our audition period is mid-May through July, for a rehearsal period which begins in early September.  Occasionally, openings occur during the course of a season, especially over the Christmas-New Year’s break.  We are happy to hear auditions throughout the year, and keep the results on file, in case such openings occur.

Auditions are held in Hyde Park and last approximately 20 minutes. We ask that singers prepare two pieces, one in English and one in another language of their choice, and be ready to demonstrate sight-reading and pitch memory.

Chicago Chorale rehearses Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30 PM.
