10th Anniversary Gala Concert and Reception

Saturday, June 4, 8:00 pm

Hyde Park Union Church

5600 S. Woodlawn Avenue

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, members of Chicago Chorale will sing a series of concerts in the visually and acoustically ravishing churches of Spain and southern France.  Join Chorale as it presents a concert of the music planned for this tour—as well as favorites from the last 10 years—in its neighborhood home, Hyde Park Union Church.  Artistic Director Bruce Tammen will provide “live program notes.

The one-hour concert will be immediately followed by a festive reception, featuring wine tastings, a unique silent auction, raffle drawings, and a chance for all guests to join with Chorale and sing a selection from Bach’s B-Minor Mass.

Four French and Spanish wines will be featured, highlighting destinations on Chicago Chorale’s next tour.  Guests will be invited to bid on a range of unique silent auction items – including voice lessons, a season pass to WBEZ’s Off-Air Cultural event series, a children’s music and theater package, a dinner party thrown in your home by an elite chef, private performances by Chorale for holiday parties or weddings, Bruce Tammen’s famous homemade juniper bratwurst, and more.  Check out the full catalog of silent auction items!

Other prizes (airline tickets, iPods and subscriptions to Chorale’s next season) will be raffled off that evening as well.

Make a day of it by visiting the Hyde Park Art Fair earlier in the day, just three blocks away.  Enjoy dinner at once of Hyde Park’s many restaurants and then join us at 8pm to cap off a memorable day of the arts.
